album images, blog replies and other stuff
by Support on Sun 6th, Jul, 2008

Hi Folks,

Been quite a hectic month for me but managed to make some updates this month here's some info on them.

Blog replies should be working again now (were tested earlier today) and full size album images can now be viewed by people who have them in their download catalog by clicking on the preview image.

Also have tweaked the album page to use the whole width of the page, the old style was only allowing for it to fill the left half. Additionally music images will now show up in your player and work with your myspace copy and paste code, you will need to update your myspace html code if your new images are not displaying yet. Also have been working on various other minor backend tweaks too mainly for admin purposes.

All the best,

Notice to all artists
by Support on Sat 28th, Jun, 2008

we have been recently updating the albums function so please login to make sure your albums are correctly defined in the new format. You need to edit your albums and select which mp3s belong to that album in the album editor form, this gives us the ability to create more flexible albums that use the same mp3 more than once. We will get the ordering sorted out soon, just make sure they are in the correct order in your mp3 arranger.

New Stuff!
by Support on Fri 21st, Mar, 2008

Lots of new developments here at BeatBiz. Here is a few of the main things:

New 'dark side' style across the whole site and many minor graphical improvements and tweaks.

Mp3s that you purchase will now appear in your personal mp3 catalog whereby you can download them at anytime. Also, non members buying mp3s will be able to register their payment email at beatbiz and immediately gain access to the downloads they purchased. All very cool stuff.

Also we have improved and updated mp3 authorization and retitled it as send mp3, if you check it out now you will see you can send your mp3s to any email address regardless of whether they are beatbiz members or not. The send mp3 function will send out a mass email to anyone you choose to email containing information on how they can download their tracks.
Many other tweaks too, the email system should now be online and we have updated the style of the site, as well as adding guest posting for reviews.

Albums for your mp3s are currently being updated we are going to be activating the new scheme soon so anyone with albums defined willl need to redo them, it's for the best though the new scheme will be far more practical.

There still maybe some issues with the server that we are unaware of, if you find anything wrong please let us know the details or nature of the error and we will try to sort it out asap.
Thanks!

MP3 Collections
by Support on Mon 3rd, Mar, 2008

added the mechanism to add all your purchased tracks to you purchased mp3 download list so if you have purchased any mp3s they should now appear there automatically for download which means you can come back at any time and redownload these tracks. It verifies against the email purchaser so if you havent registered with the email address you bought the mp3s with you can still access them by signing up with that email address. The mp3s will be there waiting for you the moment you login.

Additionally today I added a singular album page to display a basic tracklist and buy button. The main beatbiz player now recognizes this and if you have albums will link to this page in the download box.

Uploader Fixed but take notice!
by Support on Wed 5th, Dec, 2007

48khz mp3s seem to be uncompatible with the BeatBiz encoder. Please encode your mp3s at 44khz. Bitrate can be anything up to 320kbps.

Also the downloader seemed to be redirecting free downloads to the homepage. No one reported this but it may of been broken for sometime since the download stats don't seem to of been moving for a while! Well it should all be working now. If anyone finds any problems please let us know.

Community thread editing
by Support on Sat 1st, Dec, 2007

you can now edit your posts on the community page, what's more topics that receive new posts will now jump to the top of the list. Also your avatar displays on the community page which links to your profile.

Additionally we have a great new navigation system with automatic drop downs, now just about everyBeatBiz feature is just a single click away! We have added lots more too, stations, review pages, tweaks to the members pages and more, so please come and check it out.
